About the Suzuki Vitara

The Suzuki Vitara has been built and sold since 1988, and is now in its fifth generation.

The current generation was launched in 2015 and is sold in Australia as a small SUV.

An 86kW/156Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder powers the base model, while Turbo and Turbo AllGrip variants feature a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine with 103kW and 220Nm.

The base model is available with either manual or automatic transmissions; Turbo models are six-speed auto.

The AllGrip flagship features an all-wheel-drive system that helps the car better maintain its hold on the road in low-grip conditions such as driving in rain or on dirt.

An extensive list of small-SUV rivals include the GWM Haval Jolion, Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, MG ZST, and Toyota C-HR.
