Nissan Patrol
The current Nissan Patrol has been on sale for the best part of a decade, though this famous 4WD continues to be popular.
A big reason why is a grunty 5.6-litre petrol V8, which compensates for a big thirst with a huge, 140-litre fuel tank. The V8 generates 298kW and 560Nm via a seven-speed automatic transmission, enabling a towing capacity of 3500kg.

About the Nissan Patrol
The current Nissan Patrol has been on sale for the best part of a decade, though this famous 4WD continues to be popular.
A big reason why is a grunty 5.6-litre petrol V8, which compensates for a big thirst with a huge, 140-litre fuel tank. The V8 generates 298kW and 560Nm via a seven-speed automatic transmission, enabling a towing capacity of 3500kg.
The 5.2-metre-long Y62 Patrol is available in two model grades, the base-level Ti and the premium T-L. The differences are mainly cosmetic, with the Ti-L equipped with a sunroof, roof rails, a powered tailgate, unique front grille design and more speakers – among other kit.
Both models come with a low-range 4WD system with Intelligent 4X4, as well as a rear limited-slip diff.
The Patrol has a particularly iconic direct rival in the form of the Toyota LandCruiser.
