TO paraphrase Malcolm Fraser, Street Machine Drag Challenge wasn’t meant to be easy. And this one will be the hardest yet, with the longest drive course and car-killing November temperatures.

Registration day, therefore, is the calm before the storm. Some racers are able to rock up, do their paperwork and safety check and then get into some serious socialising.
