LOCATED in Victoria’s alpine region, Bright is a picturesque village that has played host to one of the most popular rod runs in Australia for the past 23 years.

While a recent change in management has seen the iconic show and cruise split with the NSW-VIC border village of Mulwala, the event remains as popular as ever with over 500 cars entered this year and plenty of street cruising action. Raising the entrant vehicle age to 1977 has opened things up, allowing for a much wider diversity of vehicles. Held on the first weekend after the Melbourne cup every year Bright’s Iconic Rod Run is a must see event for anyone who appreciates hot rods and classic cars. Here’s a selection of photos, but check out our full coverage in the February issue of Street Machine – on sale January 23rd 2014.
