THE Street Machine Of The Year competition has been the ultimate prize in our sport since it was founded way back in 1988. It is considered the pinnacle not only because of the big cash reward that goes to the winner (currently $20,000 thanks to Valvoline), but also because it is the most democratic competition going.

And the democracy starts right now! The sixteen finalists are chosen from a pool of the Aussie-build SM feature cars that have appeared in the mag in the last twelve months. To narrow them down, we run four rounds of polling, with you guys picking your four favourites out of 20 cars in each round.
