For Rodney “MRRUDE” Harkins, Street Machine Summernats 30 marked his first event as an entrant in a very long time. He parted ways with his beloved V8 EH Holden 16 years ago, and has channeled his passion into spinning spanners on customers’ cars ever since.

One of those cars was this HZ Holden, and when the owner decided to sell up, Rude jumped on it. He then tidied it up and made some changes, including a beautifully fabricated twin turbo setup. He took us for a spin on Day Three at Summernats, and later that day was awarded an Engineering Excellence trophy in Tuff Street. Needless to say, he was one happy fella!
