Summernats city cruise, Last Chance Wild Card burnouts and plenty of tough cars on day two of Summernats 29

WE’VE had our first full day at Street Machine Summernats 29, and it was pretty action-packed! The day kicked off with the big cruise through Canberra as hundreds of tough street, burnout and drag cars rumbled through town while thousands of locals lined the streets.

Then the burnouts begun as the Last Chance Shootout Wild Card entrants smoked out the place trying to get a spot in the Burnout Masters qualifying. In the end it was Peter Grmusa in ATRISK, Phil Kerjean in TUFFST and Nik Fraser in MELTEM that impressed the judges the most and made it through to qualifying.

While all this was happening the cars continued to roll in, and the amount of people here was nuts for a Thursday! They’ve also started filling up the show car area and we caught up with Brent Murray who has a stunning blown 440-powered Dodge Dart. The live entertainment also kicked off with You Am I rocking the stage.

Check out the video to see all the action and Scotty’s Summernats 29 day two update.
