THE eternal question of who has the fastest street car in the land has always been fraught with controversy, but we reckon our Drag Challenge is as close as you’ll get to definitive.

To wit: take some of Australia’s toughest streeters and make them compete at five different tracks over five days, covering 1500km of often-rough road miles along the way. There is no faffing about or waiting until track conditions are optimum – you have to rock up, push your car as far as it will go, hand in your best time card and then move on to the next track. Any vehicle that can complete the five days is one hell of a street car – here are the ten quickest weapons from this year’s event.
