HELD in Melbourne’s magnificent Royal Exhibition Building, the 50th Victorian Hot Rod Show runs over four days across the Australia Day weekend, beginning midday this Friday.

As well as hot rods, the show features some awesome street machines, bikes and customs, with many interstate cars making the trip for the 50th anniversary show.

As usual, there will be a great display of VIP cars parked out the front all weekend, as well as outdoor shows around the side of the building, organised by Kingpin Kuztums on the Saturday and Let’s Go Cruisin’ on the Sunday.

This year the show will also feature a strong rockabilly element, with six bands playing on the Saturday, including the Detonators, the Atomic Hi Tones and Tijuana Surf.

Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for kids and family tickets are 50 smackers. Check out hotrod.com.au for more details or to grab your tickets online and avoid the queues.
