2019 is promising to be the biggest MotorEX yet and the Street Machine team is right in there. In addition to our merch stand in the Superstars Pavilion, we’re hosting the Street Machine Hall of Fame, a Drag Challenge Display and a live Carnage activation in Performance Garage. Phew! It’s going to be huge, so we thought we’d get in early with a sneak peek from bump-in.

Stef Milonas and Lorenzo Cannata have brought back STOWLN after some eight years off the road. It was a tough streeter in the past, running 10.80s over the quarter, but now they’ve taken it to a Street Elite level to showcase the talents of their business, 12V Customs.

The Iron Lion has been punched out 397 cubes (with a little bit of grout to help out) and has made 680hp at the crank. The modern interior features an AIM dash, acres of red leather and a custom shifter mounted to a beefed up Trimatic. The Borgie diff has been toughened up with billet axles to make sure it can handle the grunt too.

The wildest thing we’ve seen at MotorEx (so far) is the RX-2 coupe. The bare metal proves the car has nothing to hide, but it won’t need to with a twin-turbo 26B quad-rotor under the bonnet.

The twin Precision 83/85 turbos will feed into a beautifully machined billet intake. There’s a Turbo 400 and 9-inch making up the rest of the driveline. Neatly integrated side exit exhausts and 19-inch Simmons finish it off.

Same same but totally different. More bare metal twin-turbo goodness but this time of the ‘57 Chev variety.

Nathan Marshall is clearly building his heavy Chevy to go real fast in a straight line with 540 cubes of BBC, Reid case ‘glide and Pro9 diff. There’s some pretty amazing metal fab by Eliminator Rod & Custom that has gone into the car as well.

Andy Scicluna and John Laitala have done an amazing job chopping the roof and smoothing out the ‘36 coupe of Ross Fortuna. The roof was filled with a panel from a ‘42 Chevy pickup and the dash has been swapped out for a Plymouth unit. The hits keep coming with lowered headlights, rounded trunk corners and custom caps from Hollywood Hot Rods. A mild 302W will power the low riding beauty.

You’ll be able to check out some cool traditional hot rods and customs as well as watch master customiser, Keith Dean, chop a ‘32 Ford pickup. He’ll also be planning and laying out the chop on Ryan Ford’s ‘52 Chev ute.
