Under the hood is a good, old-fashioned small block Chev, albeit one that has been stretched to 427 cubes and makes 710hp!

“It cruises beautifully,” says Jim.

“I’ve had it out pretty much every weekend since the weather has warmed up. Even after I race it, all I do is throw the pipes on and give it a wash and it’s ready to cruise into the city on a Saturday night. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Best time? 9.9-secs at 139mph on pump fuel.
