ANTHONY Thomas’s XB coupe is a fully restored stunner that’s been carefully modified over an eight-year period. The attention to detail and care that’s gone into this resto shows, especially under the bonnet, where the engine bay has been smoothed to hide all the dangly bits.

“My XB Fairmont coupe has only subtle changes to the original coupe styling. My kids and I did a full nut-and-bolt restoration that took eight years to complete. It has the 351 Cleveland running on four 48 IDF Webers, a Top Loader gearbox, nine-inch diff and new suspension. We kept the original styling with the interior, and the engine bay is smoothed, with hidden wiring,” Anthony said.
