Street Machine readers show us their Holdens past and present to mark the end of local manufacturing

IT has been an emotional few days for Holden fans, with the last-ever locally-built Commodores rolling off the production line on Friday. We asked our Facebook audience to show us their Holdens past and present to mark the occasion. Here we present just a few of them, including some living overseas:

This is a 1975 model, originally a manual 253 – now a stroked 308, Super T10 four-speed and Truetrac diff

I met my future wife when she was driving this! I knew she was the one and we still have it today

This is a V8 VL I had back in the day. The old girl had a red motor in it, with ported heads, big cam, extractors, went very hard. I still miss it 20 odd years later

Found this picture of my VC Commodore wagon I use to own. I sold it to buy a van which I needed at the time, unfortunately the car was written off by the guy I sold it to. It was an SL/X in Firethorn Red, with a 308

 My wis's VF Calais-V  six-litre with Walkinshaw exhaust system. Such a beautiful car to drive. This was on our way to Queensland last September. I kept forgetting I had the camper on the back you didn't even notice it
