Did the Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT have you drooling all over your keyboard? Well Dodge has upped the ante again revealing a turn-key racer called the Mopar Challenger Drag Pak.

The test vehicle is built on the 2015 Dodge Challenger platform, factory fitted with an NHRA-spec roll cage, 727 auto transmission with alloy driveshaft and built-in line locker for idiot-proof burnouts.

Sadly the engine bay isn’t stuffed with the 707hp Hellcat SRT motor, but its 426ci Hemi V8 is nothing to sniff at.

The otherwise standard Challenger SRT interior cops Mopar gauges and lightweight racing seats, along with safety nets and five-point harnesses.

Suspension and braking on the test car have all been altered for drag racing, plus the obvious 15in wheel package with 28×4.5in and 30x9in tyres.

Mopar previewed the Challenger Drag Pak at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis during the 60th NHRA US Nationals event last weekend.

As for ETs, there’s no info yet. We’ll keep you posted.
