WE’RE doing it BIG at this year’s Meguiar’s MotorEx in Melbourne! MotorEx is the largest car show in Australia, put on by the same great people behind Street Machine Summernats, and the 2019 event marks its second consecutive year being held at the Melbourne Showgrounds. Everyone involved is really upping the ante to ensure this year’s show on 11-12 May is the best yet, including us at Street Machine!

MotorExLast year we hosted a Street Machine Hall Of Fame, featuring a bunch of awesome cars that have starred on the cover of our magazine over the years. We’ll be bringing that back this year, but even bigger and better. We’ll also have a display of around 30 cars that have competed in Street Machine Drag Challenge. So you’ll see it all: the unreal, shiny, show-quality feature cars you see in the mag, as well as the street cars that have been put through the Drag Challenge torture test.

On the Drag Challenge display, we’ll have cars like Matt Lampard’s eight-second HZ Kingswood, Brandon Zito’s seven-second Torana, Brendan Cherry’s twin-turbo big-block VL Calais, and many more!

MotorExCarnage will also be a big part of our MotorEx arsenal. We’ll have a couple of the Carnage cars that you’ve seen us build online on display, so you can come down and see them in person. But that’s not the best part. Carnage host Scotty will be doing a Carnage build live onsite at the show with two different cars. One of them will be Mr Dodgey; Scotty will be attempting to liberate some more horsepower from the Dodge Phoenix’s 440ci big-block. And the other one we’ll keep under wraps for now, but it does have a Holden V8!

You’ll find all of this, plus our regular Street Machine stand packed full of our merch, including T-shirts, hoodies (it’ll be cold in Melbourne during May), hats, stubby holders and more!

This all joins the wider MotorEx show, which features multiple show-car halls, a trade section, a dyno cell run by our friends at MPW Performance, a drifting display and more! You don’t want to miss it.
