STANDING six-foot-four, AFL legend Barry Hall is an imposing figure who developed a bit of a reputation as a wild man on the footy oval. Barry got his big break at St Kilda and went on to captain the Sydney Swans to an AFL premiership in 2005 before moving to the Western Bulldogs late in his career.

Barry kicked over 700 goals during a career that’s spanned the best part of two decades and was the leading goal kicker at all three AFL clubs that he played for. But what a lot of people don’t know is his real passion is in fast cars, something he intends to pass on to his seven-month-old son Miller.

In the shed Barry has a nine-second big-block HG Premier, an 632ci WB Ute drag car which has gone 8.0 @ 169mph, a modified late-model Corvette that lives up in Queensland and an early Camaro powered by a twin-turbo 410ci small-block that is currently in the build.

Keeping it in the family, Barry has also partnered with his younger brother David at All Automotive in Wallan, north of Melbourne. Dave runs the business day to day, servicing cars for the locals and also building some tough machines.

We caught up with Barry at the workshop recently to check out some of his rides.
