VC COMMODORE BURNOUT CAR IBLOWN AT MOTORFEST

We chat to Andrew Pool at Motorfest about his blown and carbied small block-powered Commodore

THERE probably isn’t anyone in the burnout scene with more frequent flyer points than Andrew Pool (or Popeye to his mates). The Townsville resident and current Summernats Burnout Master certainly gets around, travelling all over Australia to the big burnout comps with his IBLOWN VC Commodore. For the past few months he has had the car at his mate’s garage down in Victoria, and flies himself down for the burnout comps then heads home for work the next day.

We caught up with Popeye at Larder Park Motorfest a couple of weekends ago, to chat about his unusual blown carburettor set-up (as opposed to the more popular blown-and-injected arrangement), and the new injected VX Monaro rig he’s building.
