10-SECOND XR FALCON UTE WITH TWIN REAR-MOUNT TURBOS – VIDEO

Daily driven 10-second Windsor-powered XR Falcon Ute with twin rear-mount turbos

TOM Alabakis’s XR Falcon ute makes all the whooshy turbo noises and makes the grunt but when you pop the bonnet the turbos are nowhere to be seen. That’s because Tom has done something a bit different and mounted a pair of Garrett GT3582R puffers just ahead of the nine-inch diff at the rear of the car.

Pumping boost through a 347-cube Windsor stroker motor, the combo has been good for a PB of 10.40. We spotted the car running high tens at Heathcote last weekend where Tom was having difficulties hooking up off the line. It probably has the potential to run nines but Tom daily drives the ute so he doesn’t want to upset it or have to put a cage in.
