Supercharged eight-second Commodore on the dyno – Video

Todd's Magnuson blown VH Commodore on the dyno at MotorEx 2018

GEELONG’S Todd Foley has recently rebuilt his eight-second VH Commodore street car. Keen Street Machine followers will know that Todd crashed the car at Drag Challenge 2016 on the final day after the engine let go and sprayed oil under the rear tyres in the top end. The front of the car just clipped the wall hard enough to do some damage and the engine was toast.

Over the last twelve months Todd has been rebuilding the car, including going to a new blue colour scheme inside and out. The old LS3 has been swapped for a built 6.0-litre L98 topped off with the same Magnuson supercharger as before. On its first track outing the car went quicker than it ever had before and currently the PB sits at 8.90 @ 158mph – ran at the Holden Nationals.

Todd had the car at Meguiar’s MotorEx over the weekend where he put the car on the Mainline hub dyno. Adam Rogash from MPW is Todd’s tuner and he was running the dyno over the weekend so it was a good opportunity to tickle up the tune and see what sort of power the combo could make. At the end of the day it put down a very respectable 741rwhp.
