STREET Machine Drag Challenge is a torture test for Aussie street cars, and rocking up to the event with an untested car is a recipe for disaster. So before the five-day, five-track event, Arby at the guys from Haltech did some testing on the POR440 turbo LS Valiant to make sure it was tickety-boo for Drag Challenge.

Things are rarely perfect with a brand new build, and the boys found the 5.3-litre truck motor needed new head gaskets, the brakes weren’t working properly, the wastegate wasn’t holding boost and the transbrake wouldn’t hold the car on the start line. So in this episode Arby and the Haltech guys fix those issues and get ready for Street Machine Drag Challenge.
