CAN YOU build an X275 car on a budget? Daniel Ward reckons you can and he showed us around his VE Valiant sedan recently.

It’s not quite finished but Daniel reckons it only owes him $10,000 as it sits and he says he’ll have it up and racing for less than $25,000, which is pretty cheap considering he’s building it to run mids-8s on the quarter mile.

The set-up consists of a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 which will have EFI and a massive GT47 turbo. The transmission is a GM Powerglide while Daniel narrowed the nine-inch himself. There’s a set of Weld Magnum wheels and a pair of 275 drag radials on the back and he hopes to have it running early next year. We can’t wait!
