WHEN you’re dealing with a big horsepower brute on the drag strip, it’s easy to overstep the mark and bruise your ego. Burnouts often can (and do) go wrong, resulting in either a spectacular fiery blaze – which is exciting, though quite expensive – or an encounter with a concrete barrier that’ll bend your chassis and your ego.

Our mate Peter Flint has uploaded 10 minutes worth of burnout scrapes, spills and incinerations which he has filmed over the last 12 months. Check out the full video by clicking here. Judging from the footage, the old saying ‘when in doubt, power out’ still applies; through crunches and explosions, drivers continue on the throttle to deliver some outrageous tyre-frying action.
