We caught up with Frank Marchese at the APSA Sydney drags to chat about his insane 2200hp XW Falcon

FRANK’S ’69 Ford XW Falcon was on the cover of the October ’15 issue of Street Machine because it is absolutely bonkers. This thing runs a 427 Windsor-based twin-turbo Dandy Engines Pro Line unit making around 2200hp, which hits 275-radial rubber through a Protrans T400 gearbox. It’s a hell of a lot of power and weight for a 275 tyre to control, especially when you consider this thing is still on leaf springs! Almost all of the suspension is factory 60s Ford.

It’s a challenge to control which is why Frank likes the setup. Hit play on the video to see our chat with Frank and the car in action at the APSA Sydney drags.
