For the second year running, 24-year-old Brock Clayton has entered his wildly cool HZ panel van into our Milwaukee Young Street Machine of the Year competition.

Brock has progressed to the top 16 finalists, which you can now vote on for a shot at the $2500 cash! He tells us more about the panel van below:

“This is my 1977 HZ Holden panel van, which I’ve done the bulk of the work on myself. It’s powered by a fully built LY6 iron block LS, with an 88mm Pulsar turbo and flex fuel with a Haltech Elite 2500 ECU.

It made 730rwhp on a pump 98 tune before running out of fuel pump. It also has a turbo 400 gearbox, and a nine-inch diff that’s four-linked. It also has airbags all ‘round, with Wilwood brakes.

Inside is a full black suede interior with diamond stitch inserts, while the outside takes inspiration from the golden era of custom vanning. I have a heaps of cars including a Barra-swapped S13 drift car, so I wanted the HZ to be a cool blend between modern go-fast tech while still retaining the look and style of a classic custom van.”
