Friday at Street Machine Summernats 34 was a cracker! In today’s video, we check out the pain on the MPW Performance dyno, burnout championship qualifying, some drift action and even some mower racing!

We also chat to Ben ‘Mechanical Stig’ Neal, the Hackshop Garage boys, the Street Machine stand crew and some very excited punters!

While the burnouts were cut short by the rain, there was still plenty of action. Jake Myers made a rare error during a test skid, clipping the wall on his way to creating a massive wall of multi-coloured wall of smoke.

The first-ever running of the Summernats Fringe Festival in Braddon was also dampened by rain, but plenty of diehards turned out anyway. We’ll have another shot at it tonight.

There were a stack of neat streeters out on the oval and one of my favourites was this cute EK Holden ute.

Owned by Stephen and Matt Murphy, the boys have wakened up the old grey motor with a little Toyota blower mounted to an upside down factory intake manifold. The boys are Summernats veterans, having brought Stephen’s wicked EH Holden tonner to Nats 33.

The night was wrapped up with the Meguiar’s Great Uncover, which we’ll go into in tomorrow’s video! See ya then.
