AUSSIE panel vans have seen a huge resurgence in recent years, but when was the last time you saw an old Ford Falcon panel van as neat, or as quick, as this one?

As soon as we saw Steve Hunt’s white XW Falcon panel van we knew we had to find out more. Up front there’s a 408ci Clevo stroker running on E85 and punching out close to 700 horses. That feeds the power back to a transbraked C4 transmission with a 5800rpm converter and a leaf sprung 31-spline nine-inch. But one of the coolest features is the bench seat and the column shift which works a reverse-pattern valve body.

The big white whale has gone 6.45 on the eighth-mile and 10.27@130mph on the quarter at the Calder Park Nationals. We reckon it would make the perfect vehicle for Street Machine Drag Challenge because you wouldn’t need to tow a trailer; you could just toss everything you need in the back. Or even sleep in the back if you needed to.

It was probably one of our favourite vehicles at the Nationals. It may not have been the quickest, but it is chock full of awesomeness.
