Since it’s very first hit out in 2015, Red CentreNATS in Alice Springs has been an action-packed three-day event. But with Top Fuel, Top Bike and Top Doorslammer joining the show this year, the organisers have bumped it out the program to a four-day extravaganza.

Scrutineering begins on the Wednesday, but for the highlights proper, read on!

THURSDAY, 1 SEPT

The gates to Alice Springs Inland Dragway swing open to the public at 5.00pm, ready to watch Top Doorslammer, Top Fuel and Top Bike teams make their first qualifying passes through until 9.30pm.

And if that doesn’t float your boat, the Aces and Eights club will be running a cruise night, kicking off from Lasseters Casino at 7.00pm.

FRIDAY, 2 SEPT

The drag action continues on Friday, with the gates open 2.00pm for the first round of Heavy Hitters, folllowed by full competition and finals for Top Fuel, Bike and Doorslammer from 3.30pm through until 10.00pm.

Any chance to see big fields of Group One drag racing at a regional track is not to be missed!

Elsewhere, scrutineering will continue at Lasseters and Alice will be hopping with tough cars cruising the streets.

SATURDAY, 3 SEPT

The Shannons show car display will kick off at Blatherskite Park from 9.00am, alongside the grass driving events, the Great Northern 4WD course and remote control car action.

Over at ASID, the day will start with grudge racing from 9.00am to 3.00pm and then move into burnout qualifying from 7.00pm through to 11.00pm.

The highlight of the day – and the event as a whole – is the street parade. This forms up at Blatherskite Park and kicks off at 5.00pm.

SUNDAY, 4 SEPT

The show and shine is back on again at Blatherskite, while the Grand Champion contenders duke it out at the drags, in the Lasseters Motorkhana and on the grass.

The drag racing finals will be run from 9.00am to 11.00am, before the finals of both burnout competitions take over at 12.30pm through to 3.00pm.

The Grand Champion finalists will be on display at Lasseters from 5pm, before the Podiam Party starts at 6.00pm, with a massive concert kicking off at 8.00pm!
