MOITS Motorcars has kicked off its first custom build — a Pro Touring Camaro destined to be raffled by Customs 4 Cancer.

The fundraising organisation raffled off the Chevy Nova built by Cooper Zahabi in February, handing over a cheque of $131,925 to the Cancer Council NSW.

Now, they’ve partnered with Moits Motorcars to build a killer ’68 Camaro from the ground up.

The Moit name has been lent to plenty of hot builds over the past few decades, including the legendary WOG007 Cortina. The Moits Motorcars division was established recently, with a focus on ’60s and ’70s muscle car builds. The company is currently working with the US-based Roadster Shop to deliver a series of new production Falcon chassis with improved dynamics.

For this build, Moits Motorcars has ordered a Roadster Shop SPEC Camaro chassis. These feature vastly improved suspension and other upgrades over a standard chassis, including a beefy swaybar. It will be the first Roadster Shop chassis to be engineered in Australia, meaning plenty of testing is on the cards.

Street Machine’s newest Expression Session artist, Aidan Donald, has been enlisted to render three different concepts for the Camaro. Having Aidan onboard means the team can create photorealistic designs in a variety of finishes — and the results are stunning so far.

When finished, the car will be raffled by Customs 4 Cancer, with ticket proceeds split between The Cancer Council and the purchase of new prizes.
