Spotted loitering around Detroit, Michigan, the facelifted 2017 Ford Mustang is likely to come with very minor detail changes.
Heavily camouflaged, with fabric covering the headlights, grille, front fascia, and tail-lights details of the new Mustang Coupe and Convertible are hard to spot, but we can expect detailing changes to the grille, air intakes, and a newish rear-styling.
Other details about the MY17 Mustang are scarce. All we know is the new Mustang will feature a 10-speed automatic gearbox, according to details leaked earlier in the year, in addition to the existing models’ six-speed manual and auto ’boxes.
The Mustang has experienced strong sales here in Australia, with Ford securing an extra 2000 units for local customers, despite sales in the US dropping 32-percent from August to September.
The drop in US sales halted production for the Mustang, which was due to recommence this week, despite a significant waiting list on Mustangs for Australia.
So far this year, Ford has shifted 4621 example of the Ford Mustang, making it the fourth most popular car the manufacturer sells in Australia, behind the Ranger, Territory, and Focus.
Just in September alone, Ford sold 786 Mustangs, which was second only to the Ranger and Focus.
