The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S is ubiquitous among car enthusiasts, broadly considered one of the best tyres in the business with a great balance between solid daily usability, tree-sap stickiness in the dry, and steadfast wet performance.

With a firm sidewall and soft rubber compound, the 255/40 ZR21 Pilot Sport 4 S are responsive, and give good steering communication, too.

One drawback of a high-performance tyre like this is its road noise, naturally amplified by the Kia EV6 GT not possessing an engine note to mask the rubber’s roar. They also heighten the EV6 GT’s firm urban ride.

VERDICT

Pricey but properly impressive

Michelin’s Pilot Sport 4 S is an expensive performance tyre that’s not suited to the average family hack, but they tamed the EV6 GT’s considerable mass and grunt admirably.
