Gosford Classic Car Museum: 8 of the best

Take one Bunnings Warehouse, remove all horticulture and fill with 400 exotic cars from a LeFerrari and F40 to a Porsche Carrera GT to a Lamborghini Muira to a Jaguar XJ220.

That is exactly what one millionaire has done to create the Gosford Classic Car Museum on the Central Coast of New South Wales, about an hour’s drive north of Sydney.

MOTOR visited the museum – open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am till 5pm, with $20 adult entry – and found not only high-priced exotics filled the halls, but everything from Aussie HSVs to (we’re not joking) Communist-era Skodas to 1960s American muscle cars and even a DMC DeLorean everyone can sit in and pretend to be Marty McFly.

But here are our top eight collections…

1. Porsche Carrera GT
2004 V10 manual hypercar one of only 1270 produced, none for Oz

Porsche Carrera GT2. Ferrari LaFerrari, F40, F50

Ferrari Laferrai

Ferrari 1996 F503. Jaguar XJ220
Only 271 made, the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 manual infamously couldn’t reach 220mph

Jaguar XJ2204. Twiggy’s Lamborghini Muira
Supermodel Twiggy’s very own lime green Muira arguably prettiest Lambo ever

Twiggy’s Lamborghini Muira5. Lancia Delta Integrale, Toyota Celica GT4

Lancia Delta Integrale6. HSV VL Walkinshaw, GTS-R and W427
