Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled a total of 324 examples of the 2019-2021 EQC400 4Matic due to a potential issue with the car’s electric steering system.

According to a recall notice published by the Department of Infrastructure, a manufacturing defect could cause damage to the steering system, potentially allowing moisture into the wiring harness.

The issue could lead to a short circuit, resulting in steering failure.
