Kia Australia has revealed the standard equipment for its new-generation Seltos small SUV, following the recent announcement of pricing for the hybrid-only range. The new Seltos is priced from $39,990 driveaway and is available in five equipment grades – S, S with Safety Pack, Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line – with six variants in total thanks to the availability of all-wheel drive on the flagship model.
Previously, Kia Australia had kept standard equipment levels secret, but we now know which equipment each grade will offer thanks to its local website. There we can see that even the entry-level S comes with a generous list of equipment, including 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, push-button start and a panoramic dashboard display incorporating two 12.3-inch screens and a separate 5.0-inch climate control display.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring, Kia Connect live services with over-the-air updates, and an auto-dimming rear mirror are also standard. Safety equipment includes autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot assistance, lane-keeping and lane-following assistance, rear cross-traffic alert with braking and a front centre airbag.
For an additional $2500, the $42,490 driveaway S with Safety Pack adds a 360-degree camera, blind-spot camera, front, rear and side parking sensors and automatic rear braking. It also gains remote smart parking assistance, which allows owners to move the vehicle to forwards or backwards using the key.

The $43,990 Sport then adds larger 18-inch alloy wheels, satellite navigation, Highway Driving Assist 2, a cargo cover and rear centre armrest with cupholders. Stepping up further to the $46,990 Sport+ adds a powered driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment, heated front seats, cloth and artificial leather upholstery, rain-sensing wipers and rear privacy glass.
At the top of the range, the $52,990 GT-Line gains 19-inch alloy wheels, a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon audio, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory functionality and an electric tailgate. The GT-Line is also available with all-wheel drive for $55,490 driveaway, using a separate electric motor to drive the rear wheels when additional traction is required.
All new Seltos variants will use a 1.6-litre four-cylinder hybrid drivetrain, which is a significant change from the previous Seltos range, which only offered petrol engines. The new Seltos also features Australian-specific suspension tuning, while boot space measures 483 litres with the rear seats upright, expanding to 1441 litres with the rear seats folded.
Kia’s new-generation Seltos is now being offered through its Australian dealer network, with pricing starting at $39,990 driveaway.
