Honda Australia has confirmed Australian pricing for its new NSX, the hybrid supercar to cost $420,000 before on-road costs.

This puts the new NSX directly in line with the likes of the Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 570S, Porsche 911 Turbo S and Ferrari 488 GTB in the fiercely competitive supercar segment.

In its previous guise, the NSX was more of a 911 Carrera competitor, costing $245,500 for the coupe and $256,500 for the Targa at its 2002 release.

As you’d expect at this price point, the NSX comes fully loaded with equipment that’s optional overseas, including carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon fibre packages for the exterior and interior. Only three colours are available as standard though, with metallic paint $1500 extra and two premium finishes an extra $10,000.
