Aussie closes on a Formula One test

Aussie Daniel Ricciardo, the British Formula Three championship leader, is in line to test a Red Bull Formula One car at the end of the current season.

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has indicated that Ricciardo is favoured to get a run on a young driver test day later in the year.

Ricciardo, who is part of the Red Bull young driver development programme, leads the British F3 title by a handy margin going into the last two races.
