Aston Martin has unveiled the Valhalla Spider, an open-top version of its mid-engined hybrid hypercar that promises the same extraordinary performance as the coupe, with the added appeal of roof-down driving.
Described as the fastest open-cockpit Aston Martin ever produced, the Spider retains the coupe’s sophisticated plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine with three electric motors.
Together, they produce 1079PS, equivalent to 793kW, making the Valhalla one of the most powerful road-going Aston Martins ever built.

The Spider also retains the coupe’s carbon-fibre chassis, developed with input from Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the engineering division drawing on the manufacturer’s Formula 1 expertise.
Unlike Aston Martin’s conventional front-engined convertibles, the Valhalla places its V8 behind the passenger compartment, giving it a mid-engined layout designed to maximise handling precision and weight distribution.
Its most obvious difference is the removable roof, which allows occupants to experience the V8 soundtrack more directly while preserving the dramatic proportions of the fixed-roof model.
The Spider’s styling closely follows the coupe, with a low nose, sculpted bodywork, prominent aerodynamic elements and substantial rear diffuser.

Aston Martin claims the Spider can accelerate from 0–100km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach 350km/h, matching the coupe despite its altered bodywork.
Revised active aerodynamics and stability-control calibration compensate for the missing roof, while a removable wind deflector helps manage airflow around the cockpit.
The standard fabric roof can be stowed onboard, although maximum speed with it fitted is restricted to 200km/h. An optional carbon-fibre hardtop allows the full 350km/h.
The Spider is expected to account for approximately a quarter of Valhalla production, with the total run limited to 999 vehicles. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
