It’s a WhichCar Weekly special excursion! We pack up the car and head to one of Australia’s most iconic pubs – the Hotel Esplanade.

In our first outside recording, the WCW team set up camp at the famous Espy in St Kilda for a chat about all things motoring, and it’s just a coincidence that there’s beer on tap.

Kicking off the show this week, WhichCar content director Glenn joins the team for his WCW debut – definitely not just a coincidence with the beer thing. We open the chat with a look at a new supercharged Pony in the Ford corral and its significance to Australia.

It might not completely heal the wounds left by the end of local vehicle manufacturing but it sure helps.

Then the guys talk about how unlikely it is that Dan spent the entire weekend at the Deni Ute Muster and isn’t:

  1. Wearing an Akubra
  2. Styled with a mullet
  3. Dead

Tune in to find out how he survived and why he would take his life in his hands to visit the largest gathering of utes on the planet.

Finally, we round up our inaugural Espy special reviewing Andy’s recent trip to Phillip Island to drive the entire current Lamborghini line-up. His day trashing tyres wasn’t just a jolly and he came back with some intriguing news and anecdotes, but Dan still hasn’t forgiven him for taking it instead of the Ute Muster gig.
