  • Kia recalls 165 Carnivals
  • Faulty door locking mechanism attributed as fault
  • Owners encouraged to contact Kia

Korean manufacturer Kia has recalled its 2021 Carnival over a potentially faulty rear door mechanism.

Affecting just 165 MY21 and MY22 units, the fault can be found in the right-hand sliding door, preventing it from latching properly and being stuck in its “open” position.

This could potentially lead to the door opening while driving, causing a greater risk of injury to its occupant.
