The Cupra Formentor's Australian specs have been confirmed as the Spanish manufacturer gears up for a local launch.
Set to go on sale with the remainder of the Cupra model line-up in July, the Formentor is touted as the marque's first "bespoke" vehicle, with its design and ethos like nothing else in the Volkswagen Group fleet.
Just like the Leon hatchback, the Formentor will be available in four grades from launch, ranging from the entry-level 'V' trim to the range-topping, 228kW VZx.

Safety
Although it hasn't yet been submitted for ANCAP crash testing locally, the Formentor scored five stars in the Euro NCAP evaluations, with scores above 85 per cent for its adult and child occupant protection.

Warranty and servicing
As with the rest of Cupra's model range and the Volkswagen Group Australia fleet, the Formentor will be covered by a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Servicing for Cupra models will be available through selected Volkswagen Group dealerships across Australia.
Availability
Pricing for the Cupra Formentor will be announced closer to the model's arrival at the start of July 2022.
