Chery has confirmed that the Stockman ute will have a thumping 350kW and 800Nm of grunt when it goes on sale, just after announcing that customers can get three years of free servicing and a $2000 gift if they order soon.

The official specs show that the Stockman will feed that power to all four wheels through a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel Super Hybrid powertrain. The ICE engine will make 140kW and 450Nm, with a 34kWh lithium iron phosphate battery giving it an electric-only driving range of up to 96km on the WLTP cycle – beating two of its biggest rivals in the BYD Shark 6 Performance and Ford Ranger Hybrid.
