An online auction, organised by Ferrari to raise funds for the families of the victims of the recent earthquakes in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, is now live.

You can make a bid or contribution via ferrari.com, and among the items up for grabs are a Ferrari 599XX EVO valued at more than €1.6 million, a complete 2008 Formula 1 engine, autographed driving suits, gloves and helmets from Ferrari F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, as well as unique memorabilia from Ferrari’s motorsport history.

The 599XX Evo is an extreme V12-powered sports racer (with a reserve of €1.35 million). The car will be built specifically for this occasion and will have a number of unique features, including a special plaque dedicated by Ferrari’s Chairman, Luca di Montezemolo, and drivers Alonso and Massa, who will hand the car over to its new owner at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in September.

You can also contribute to fund-raising efforts by purchasing Scuderia Ferrari watches from www.ferraristore.com, with proceeds going towards the auction funds. The auction will end on 20 June 2012.
