
Toyota has the greatest chance of being recommended of any business in Australia, based on a new study by market research and data analytics firm YouGov.
Factoring in a range of considerations – such as customer experience, brand image and brand values – the study found Toyota is likely to be recommended by 87.7 per cent of owners, blitzing the field to take the number one spot.
Honda took sixth place, with an 82.8 per cent rate. In seventh place is Mazda (82.7 per cent), while Hyundai was the tenth most recommended brand at 82.5 per cent.

The result saw the Japanese car manufacturer beat a host of other popular companies in Australia, including; Jack Daniels, La Roche Posay and Singapore Airlines – trailing behind in second, third and fourth place respectively.
Asahi, Honda, Mazda, Jim Beam, Heineken and Hyundai make up the remainder of the top ten list.
Based on the YouGov Brand Index score, the study measured the percentage of customers from a brand that would recommend the product to a friend or colleague, with data compiled from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021. A minimum sample of 300 customers were studied per brand.
Australia was the only nation to feature strong recommendation rates for automotive brands.
