The first vehicle Shayne remembers travelling in was his dad's Yarra River-brown Rover P6 3500, but it was P.I. Thomas Magnum's Ferrari 308GTS - and a glimpse of a Lancia Stratos - that turned the key on his love of cars. He first got into automotive writing in 2002 on a former stablemate of Wheels, the Japanese turbo-focused Speed magazine.
