The capped price cost of servicing a new Honda has increased by 40 per cent with one model exempted from the new pricing structure. Instead of the previous $199 per service, all Honda products with petrol and hybrid drivetrains will now cost $279 to service each year for the first five years or 50,000km, whichever comes first.
The only exception is the new Honda Super-One electric hatchback, which retains the previous $199 servicing price for its first five scheduled services. Service pricing for all variants of the Civic, HR-V, ZR-V, CR-V, Accord and Prelude now sit at $279 per year or every 10,000km, whichever comes first.
Customers who signed their new vehicle contracts on or before September 30, 2026 are still eligible for the previous $199 service pricing, but after that the cost sits at $279. Under the previous pricing structure, five years of servicing cost $995 and now, it costs $1395.

The brand has made no changes to its new car warranty, which remains pegged at five years/unlimited km for the car and eight years/160,000km for EV batteries, while five years of roadside assistance also remains. Those who keep their vehicles serviced through the Honda dealer network are also eligible for a warranty and roadside assistance extension up to eight years in total.
It’s not the first time the brand has increased its service pricing since moving to a fixed price agency model in 2021, as the then-$125 pricing was increased to $199 in 2022. Therefore, Honda’s servicing prices have increased from $125 in 2021 to $279 in 2026, which is a 123.2 per cent increase in just five years.
The increase in pricing now means that Honda no longer has some of the cheapest new car service costs on the market, and is now more expensive than models like the Toyota hybrid lineup, such as the RAV4.
Nevertheless, at comfortably under $300 per service, Honda still remains one of the more affordable brands to service in Australia.
