Standing for “comfortable runabout vehicle”, the Honda CR-V mid-sized SUV has been part of the family since its introduction in 1995. Over its five generations, the model has only ever been powered by four-cylinder combustion engines, although more recent versions in some other markets have adopted petrol/electric hybrid power.

About the Honda CR-V
Standing for “comfortable runabout vehicle”, the Honda CR-V mid-sized SUV has been part of the family since its introduction in 1995. Over its five generations, the model has only ever been powered by four-cylinder combustion engines, although more recent versions in some other markets have adopted petrol/electric hybrid power.
The current line-up has grown since its introduction in 2017 and includes one of the most compact seven-seaters available from any brand.
All versions are powered by the same 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol coupled to a CVT auto, while all-wheel drive is offered for the higher-end variants.
The sixth-generation CR-V will arrive in 2023 and is expected to bring the first hybrid CR-V offered in Australia, slotted into a pared range.
