  • Land Rover recalls 54 units
  • All Discovery models sold this year affected

The 2021 Land Rover Discovery has been placed under recall, with all units sold this year needing to go back for repairs.

Affecting 54 late-2020 and all 2021-build vehicles, the issue stems from an incorrectly installed occupancy detection sensor system in the front passenger's seat.

If the system isn't fitted correctly, it will fail to provide a warning if the seat is occupied and the occupant doesn't have their seatbelt buckled, leading to a higher risk of injury in the event of an accident.

It also provides customer assistance to any owners who are unsure as to whether their vehicles are affected, which can be contacted via 1800 625 642 or crcau@jaguarlandrover.com.

A list of VINs for affected vehicles can be found here.
