Skoda Australia has recalled a total of 16 examples of the 2021 Skoda Fabia due to a potential issue with the car’s rear centre seat belt.
According to a recall notice published by the Department of Infrastructure, a potential welding defect could reduce the effectiveness of the seat belt, increasing the chance of injury or death to occupants.
Skoda will contact affected owners, but the company can be contacted directly by calling 1800 607 540 or visiting a dealership, found here.
