Snapshot
- Uses existing 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine
- Just two grades on offer from launch, no hybrid power
- Priced from $40,490 before on-road costs
The new 2023 Suzuki S-Cross has arrived in Australia, and goes on sale today from $40,490 before on-road costs.
The new model lineup consists of two grades: the base Allgrip and top-spec Allgrip Prestige – swapping over from the previous Turbo and Turbo Prestige nameplates.
The small SUV retains the same 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol as found in the previous generation mated to a six-speed auto gearbox, but upgrades to solely all-wheel drive, with front-wheel drive no longer offered.
New for MY23 are a host of technological and safety enhancements, as well as revised looks inside and out.

At the front, the S-Cross does away with the old chrome-slatted grille and replaces it with a piano black diamond lattice one instead. Also joining the improved grille are new headlights mounted higher up for a bolder look, as well as squared-off wheel arches and silver garnishes on the bumpers.
Meanwhile at the rear, it adopts new tail-lights and plating across the tailgate, in addition to a squarer, flatter look with the reflectors appearing more prominently in the bumper than before now that they’re accompanied by rear parking sensors.
The S-Cross is wider and longer than before too, offering more space inside and new features such as a 9-inch display, wireless Apple Carplay, and a 360-view camera to name just a few.
