An all-new 2023 Mitsubishi ASX is on the way, the Japanese carmaker has announced today.
Mitsubishi has provided a timeline for the popular ASX to be replaced with a new-generation model sometime in 2023, around 13 years after the current vehicle was released.
At a joint Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance media conference, the brand detailed how the new ASX will be “based on Renault best-sellers”.
While the exact chassis architecture was not disclosed, it’s possible Mitsubishi will use the CMF-B platform which currently underpins the Renault Arkana and Nissan Juke – though it has been confirmed the new ASX will be built at the same factory as its Renault cousin.

A conceptual teaser image was shown at the announcement, showing a striking new front-end design language than has been seen on the current crop of Mitsubishi models.
The Alliance presented a united front, with its ‘Leader-Follower Scheme’ allowing each company to focus on developing a specific area, reducing costs, but to the benefit of all three members.
