If you haven’t yet placed your order for Ford’s newly-arrived Mustang, the bad news is you’re going to pay more for the pleasure.
A shift in the currency exchange rate – the Aussie dollar has fallen against the greenback from 83c a year ago to 72c as of today – has led Ford Australia to lift prices by $1000 on Ecoboost models and $2500 on V8 models.
Buyers who have already placed orders are protected from the price hike, but it’s a blow for any new purchasers, especially as high early demand for the muscle car means delivery is unlikely before 2017.
